Swing Dance Calgary brings you the 4th Annual Cabaret! Promising to be another evening of amazing local entertainment followed by delightful dancing, this is an event not to be missed.

This is your opportunity to put together a wonderful 2 minute (maximum) routine displaying your performance talent. It can be silly, it can be serious, it can be dancing, it can be playing an instrument… use your imagination! Perform and let us be amazed and proud of the wonderful talent that our scene has.

If you’d like to perform please send an email to info@swingdancecalgary.com with information about your performance. Please include: performer names, style of performance, a blurb about how you’d like to be introduced, and any other pertinent information.

Timeline:
Saturday, June 11, 2011
Doors at 8pm
Cabaret to begin shortly after.
Dance to start once the Cabaret is done (probably 9 or 9:30?)

Theme:
1920’s era. This is your chance to dress up in your favourite 1920’s flapper dress or suit.

Dancing:
There will be a dance following the performances. Plan to stick around, enjoy the atmosphere, and enjoy the music.

Volunteer:
We will be looking for many volunteers including tasks leading up to the event and the day of. If you’re interested in helping out please talk to Heather, Curtis, Jo, Matthew or just start asking around. This will be a true community building event so we’re hoping to get as many people involved as possible.
